Skin Cancer Treatments and Technologies

We are on the forefront of skin cancer treatment and technology advancements.

At OhioHealth, we offer comprehensive treatment options and develop a care plan that’s best for you and most effective in treating your type of skin cancer.

Comprehensive Cancer Treatments and Technology

Surgery

Our fellowship trained, expert surgeons work closely with other specialty areas to plan your best treatment approach. Talk to your healthcare provider about your situation and the best surgical option for you.

Medical Oncology

Chemotherapy, immunotherapy and targeted therapies are highly individualized. Your medical oncologist will work with your skin cancer care team to determine and monitor the most effective treatment for you. Our outpatient infusion centers offer a comfortable, convenient setting for your treatment.

Genetic Counseling and Testing

Genetic counselors provide the expertise and caring support to discover whether you have a hereditary risk for skin cancer and, if so, help you and your loved ones take preventive steps to reduce this risk, such as regular screening, lifestyle changes or medication.

Radiation Therapy

In advanced cases, you may be referred to a radiation oncologist for treatment. All OhioHealth radiation therapy locations have real-time access to your plan of care, so you can schedule your appointments for whatever location best fits your availability.

Dermatology

Our dermatologists are specially trained to find existing skin cancers at their earliest, and most treatable, stages. A thorough, head-to-toe baseline skin examination by a dermatologist is recommended for all adults to screen for skin cancer. Based on those findings, ongoing mole and skin cancer evaluations may be needed.

Cancer Rehabilitation

Our specialized therapists develop an exercise program to improve joint mobility, restore flexibility, reduce pain and improve strength so you can safely return to your usual activities.
